The purpose of this site is to provide a centralized collection of information and thoughts and ideas about WSUS collected through Microsoft communities (newsgroups) and other resources.

The Articles page is a collection of posts I've created at one time or another and find myself referencing repeatedly to offer help to others. Rather than continuing to try to copy and paste the text into new posts, or ask the reader to search through the newsgroups, I decided it would be easier to simply post the text of those selected messages here, so that I could reference them by URL. Note that the content not written by me has been edited out of the posts, since I do not have permission to repost material written by other persons.

The FAQ is (at the time of creation of this site) a work in creation, prompted by several suggestions posted in the newsgroup that such a document needed to be done. At this point I am collecting questions by scanning through the beta and public newsgroups. (If you have one you think should be added, please email it to me.) As I get the questions collected, I will start filling in the answers based on a composite of every response to the question.

The Downloads page is mostly a quick reference collection of links to Microsoft's web site. Each item has two links, one to the source on Microsoft's site, and one to the content on this site. I encourage you to obtain content direct from Microsoft's site, but as long as I'm putting the links up, I might as well offer the content.

The Links page is a collection of links to other SUS/WSUS related sites, and other sites of interest to this topic, including some links that have appeared as fixes for WSUS related issues.
